Lake LA4 Enlarged Bulkhead 50 Access Panel

Many Lake aircraft still have only a small 6 inch circular access panel at the cabin aft bulkhead (Frame 50) that separates the Tail section from the forward fuselage. This greatly hinders the ability to work in a critical area of the aircraft as well as making it virtually impossible to inspect the condition of the control pushrods aft of the bulkhead.

The RT Aerospace Tail Access Panel increases the opening to a rectangular one measuring 17.25" x 14.25". Large enough for someone to be able to stick their entire body through. This allows someone to easily inspect and perform maintenance in the area with ease.

The modification consists of a skin cutout and the addition of an aluminum doubler to the aft side of the bulkhead. The Access Panel is then held in place by AN3 bolts providing and owner or mechanic great accessibility to a very critical area of the Lake aircraft.
